lol i couldn't think of a good name for this presentation so just read this and be like 'omg it's so inspiring' plz

Now, in regards to minors that I may be interested in, I am considering a minor in areas like Criminal Justice and Linguistics. To receive a minor in Criminal Justice, one requires 21 total credits in classes like Crime and Justice in the U.S (3 credits), Law Enforcement in the U.S (3 credits), Corrections in the U.S (3 credits), Criminal Behavior (3 credits), Criminal Procedure (3 credits), Juvenile Justice (3 credits), and a Criminal Justice Elective with a 300 level or above (which would be worth 3 credits). Meanwhile, to receive a minor in Linguistics, one requires a minimum of 18 total hours in Core Courses like Ling/Engl 325 and above (9 hours), Track A or Track B Courses (Track A is the Theoretical Track with classes like Ling/Psyc 524, whereas Track B is the Applied/ESL Track with classes like Ling/Engl 570, both Tracks requiring 6 hours total), and Approved Elective Courses (3 hours).

All in all, I just want to make lots of money so that my family doesn’t have to worry about finances any more. So if I have to work really hard in university and law school to get there, then hey, the ends will justify the means.

Oh wait, apparently I have to add in some of my personal interests and stuff? That's kind of weird, couldn't you just ask me or something? Like I could put on here that I like to microwave butterflies and you guys would have to assume that it's true even though I'm not that messed up a person. Eh whatever, I like reading, writing, drawing, dabbing even though I don't think anyone dabs anymore, singing, reading/writing fanfic (follow me on fanfic.net and tumblr @NoireKnightmare), dancing horribly, baking, petting animals, planning world domination, watching/reading anime/manga, learning languages, reading homestuck, making dumb fandom videos, normal stuff like that. And, uh, I guess the traveling-the-world club interests me alot, though I can't remember the name of it. I think it'd be neat to go to Japan or South Korea, you know, a place with a really diverse culture. I've been learning to speak/write Japanese (hiragana, katakana, and kanji) as well as Korean so yeah.

To receive a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Global Politics and International Affairs, one requires a minimum of 121 hours total in General Education (34 hours), Arts and Science Requirements (22 hours), General Coursework in Political Science (15 hours), International Relations (6 hours), Comparative Politics (6 hours), Political Science Electives (6 hours),and Supporting Courses like Economics 202 and Minimum Electives (32 hours).

I am the type of person who lives by the saying that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I am the type of person who views life’s obstacles as challenges meant to enhance one’s character. I am the type of person who prefers to stay in the shadows and watch everything unfold, but will step up as a reluctant leader if the need arises. I am an INTJ—a strategist, an architect, a Jack-of-all-Trades whose lust for knowledge is only outweighed by sheer determination to succeed.

I am Cherie Burke, and I intend to major in Political Science, particularly in Global Politics and International Affairs.

My second major of choice is also in Political Science, particularly in Law and Public Policy. To receive a Bachelor of Science with a Track in Law and Public Policy, one requires a minimum of 121 hours total in General Education (34 hours), Arts and Science Requirements (13-15 hours), General Coursework in Political Science (18 hours), Law & Jurisprudence Area (9 hours), Public Policy Area (6 hours), Political Science Electives (9 hours), and Supporting Courses like Economics 201/202 and Electives in Social Sciences other than Political Science (30-32 hours).

My third major of choice is in Philosophy, particularly in Social Sciences. To receive a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Track in Social Sciences, one requires a minimum of 121 hours total in General Education (34 hours), Arts and Science Requirements (22 hours), Department of Philosophy (33 hours), and Supporting Courses like Minimum Electives and Electives in Social Sciences Division at 300 level or above (32 hours).

For majors in Political Science, you need at least a 2.00 program GPA, a 2.00 GPA both inside and outside your major, and 50 hours at the 300+ level for Senior College Hours. Meanwhile, there are no specific admission requirements for a Philosophy degree plan.

Specific areas of employment for a major in Global Politics and International Affairs include diplomacy, such as Foreign Service of the United States (which has an average salary that ranges from $40,000 to $72,000) and the United Nations (which has an average salary that depends on what particular job you have); requirements for Foreign Service of the United States include a minimum passing grade on the frontal examination and the passing of the series of simulations and exercises with other candidates, the whole process being very rigorous with a candidate having a 1/60 chance of being accepted. Meanwhile, requirements for the United Nations include an advanced university degree, excellent command of English or French (the two languages that are predominantly used), and previous working experience.

Specific areas of employment for a major in Law and Public Policy include law, law enforcement/criminal justice, lobbying, and advocacy, although for the sake of my ideal career choice (being a lawyer), I’ll focus on law. So, the predominant area of employment for a major in Law and Public Policy is a lawyer, which has a starting salary in Kentucky of $40,570 and can go up to as high as $169,010. The requirements for becoming a lawyer include obtaining a bachelor’s degree, passing the admission’s test for the law school of your choice, earning a Juris Doctor degree to practice law in the United States, and passing the Bar Exam.

Specific areas of employment for a major in Philosophy include law, journalism, and public relations among other things, as philosophy can be applied pretty much anywhere. The requirements and average salaries for a philosophy major vary in accordance to the career in choice, so it would take a long time to list all the different salaries and expectations.

That doesn’t mean I won’t complain about it though. There’s no doubt in my mind that all that hard work is gonna be a big ol' bag of d!cks.

As for next semester, I intend to take any other classes that are required general classes that I haven’t already completed whether during this semester or during my high school career. I haven’t immediately picked out any classes aside from taking a beginner’s French class (despite having completed French I, French II, and Advanced French III during high school), predominantly because when I registered for my classes during the mandatory college Fun-Night, the student who explained it to me didn’t do a good job and I basically ended up as a part-time student when I wanted to be full-time, so I don’t trust anyone aside from a PROFESSIONAL when it comes to my class registration. I don’t want to get screwed over again and, in the worst case scenario, end up graduating late when I intend to graduate on time, if not early.
