The CSGV is the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
Their name says it all.
The recent shooting at Sparks in Nevada has rekindled the arguments over gun control. Anytime a drastic situation like this occurs the issue of why it happened bubbles to the surface. It seems that the easy fix would to take away guns and yet there is so much opposition that it is an impossible task.

The Brady Law has become one of the main battlefields for organizations either for or against gun control.
Fund raising is a very important function, vital to the success of any organization. Even the mean government agencies have to raise money in order to work. These organizatios rely on their own fund rasing and the media to provide surporters. They use the medai to spread their ideas and supporters provide necessary funds
Although the NRA tends to raise more money than the CSGV the beliefs of the CSGV are starting to spread faster. The Brady Law was a huge bout of victory for anti-gun organizations as the restrictions on guns increased.
An organization for the restriction of guns and a strong supporter of the Brady Law. One downside to the CSGV is that they do not participate in much fund raising and if they do it is not a significant amount of money to be recognized. The CSGV tends to be more libeal in their political behavior and support more candidates fighting for regulation of gun control.
The big question is after all this work, are their good results. And the answer differs from organization to organization because every company acts differently. The NRA is more successful in raising money but so far they have not succeeded in getting laws passed in their favor while the CSGV hasn't done much and the Brady Law completely supports their viewpoints.
