Other aetiologies:

Musculoskeletal Problems

  • Cellulitis
  • Malignancy
  • Allergic reaction
  • Ruptured medial head of gastrocnemius

Duplex Ultrasound

+ evaluate systemic cause

  • Ruptured Baker's cyst

DVT

MRV

Magnetic Resonance Venography to evaluate pelvic or distal DVT (if suspicion is high)
