Special Problems

Food is essential for survival, but there is no way yet to produce food on Mars. We might have to bring food from Earth. It is very cold on Mars, way colder than any other place on the Earth. The pressure on Mars is very low, which means that our saliva and moisture in our lungs would boil. It is expensive to live there. We are going to have to send billions of dollars each year to supply the people there.

Our Conclusion

Importance of Space Travel

Overall, Mars is a great planet for a Disney Amusement Park because it is closest to Earth and Earth has all the resources we need. Mars is much like a normal planet but it is much colder. There has been sightings of water on Mars, and water is the most needed resource for our human body. Mars has seasons like Earth but again, winter is more than freezing! Summer is only 20 degrees Celsius. The days are only 40 more minutes longer than Earth. Mars is like Earth but little differences.

Space exploration is beneficial because it promotes space and science. Traveling to Mars would be good because it would the population of the Earth so this way we can supply the whole world. Earth's resources are running out, but there is unlimited resources in space. This exploration will inspire younger youth to do something that will help us and humanity.

Why We Chose Mars

We chose mars because it has soil that has water in it. We can extract this water. It isn't too hot or too cool. There is enough light that we can power solar panels. The closest planet to Mars is the planet you are standing on: Earth. Mars is a rocky planet. It has a red color. It's temperature is minus 80 degrees Fahrenheit -- way below freezing! It size is 3390 km in radius. The distance from the sun is 227.9 million km and 225 million km from earth.

Human Requirements

Technology Needed

We would need rovers, Mars suits, communication systems to contact Earth in an emergency, and a transit vehicle to take people places because they cannot possibly walk all around on foot.

The humans need to fly in a space shuttle. It will take a long time to get there. We will need to build a landing port for the shuttles. Doing all of this is going to take a lot of money.
