In the end he tries to give everybody

hope. Saying that we will be prepared for war, should it come to our land, that they will all fight to keep them safe.

During his speech Roosevelt tells the people about how the 'New Order' goes against everything that the United States stands for. He also warns us about the dangers of the Axis Powers if they conquer the oceans, how they will take over our economy by brute force, destroying everything in its path.

On December 29th of 1940 President Roosevelt stood in front of thousands of people and talked about World War II. Even when people have asked him to keep them in the dark so that they would not be afraid.

Roosevelt was elected the 32rd President

in 1933, he was elected four terms

because of his leadership skills during

World War II, though he never got to finish

his last term.

Education

In 1907 Roosevelt attended Columbia University Law School. He took, and passed, his bar exam though he never got a degree.

Franklin Roosevelt was born on January

30th, 1882. He was born with the disease

polio which paralyzed him from the waist down.
