Simon Berry
my godfather!
I dont very much about my grandmas history as she died in 2015 but she does have a twin sister Sue Berry that we are still very close with. She married into the the Berry name and had two kids Simon ( my godfather ) and Bess my auntie. Together Bob and Sue founded Whitestone cheese in 1987 and passed it on to their son. the Black Family have had many generations of Farmers and were originally from Whales.
The Coales Family owmed some of the largest houses in Norwich, Ludlow and Rye according to the records of parliament, they owned them up until the late 1500's but in 1590 they went broke and had to sell their finest mansions.
- They were also very well renowed for selling cars in the early 1900's and my great great great great great? Grandad was apparently very good at scamming people into buying them!

- The crawfords first came to New zealand on september 7th, 1850 on the Charlotte Jane. There was 154 passengers on the ship and the crawfords had 26 of their family on board
-they made theyre living off knitting and trading materials but in 1896 my great ancestor Albert Crawford moved his family from dunedin all the way up to piha in auckland where they caught trevally and blue cod.
This is not very suprising as the crawford lived in the uk for many decades
The first fultons spent over 50 years travelling through North India and Fighting the battle of Lucknow, many fultons died in the war so eventually they boarded a ship in london travelling to NZ called the Ajax on the 8th of September 1848 and arived in Otago, Dunedun in January 8th 1849. Catherine Henrietta Elliot Valpy was one of the first people to arrive in Dunedun ( she was also a suffraget along with her friend Kate Shepard ) James Fulton was also a passenger on the ship and soon married Catherine in 1852, he was a prominant bowler and a valuable member of parliment. The bought a farm in the Taieri Plains were they raised 8 children that grew up to be Farmers and Lawyers
this was expected as it almost the same as european

Encircling the crest on the crest badge is a strap and buckle engraved with the motto: TUTUM TE ROBORE REDDAM which translates from Latin as "I will give you safety through strength". The Crawford tartan is of relatively modern origin, and it is certain that there was no Crawford tartan in around 1739
well this was interesting
Archibald Crawford had a huge love of horses. He lived in Auckland and when he was young he used to look after the Tram horses - grooming and feeding them as his after school job. He became a Master Builder and moved to Rotorua. He built Glenholme primary school which Margaret Crawford and Alex Fulton both went too.
Charles Freer Crawford
I thought that i was more scottish but apparantly not
Charles Freer Crawford came to NZ to fight in the Maori War and ended up being a school teacher in Taranaki. There’s a plaque of him at St Mary’s Church in Taranaki. He was also a choir master in the church. He died of a heart attack in the local pub.
