1950'S
1960's
In the 50's there were lots of slow but funky. But do you really know who ruled the charts in the 1950s? I bet you haven’t heard most of these songs. It’s amazing what we think was popular back then and what actually was popular in the 50s. Here are the top 5!
1. Daddy's Little Girl - Mills Brothers
2. Mona Lisa - Nat King Cole
3. Music! Music! Music! - Teresa Brewer
4. The Tennesse Waltz - Patti Page
5. A Bushel and a Peck - Perry Como and Betty Hutton
Tutti Frutti
The '60s was an era of bell bottoms and go-go boots. During this time, rock music emerged as a major medium for expressing and defining the new hippie life-style combined with colorful, swirling imagery. With this music branded as “psychedelic," plus the emerging hippie popularity, and big, afro hairstyles, it truly was a distinct period in the history of music.
Tutti Frutti, This was Little Richard's first hit, but his success was far from
instant.
Little Richard wrote this song in 1955 when he was working as a dishwasher at a Greyhound bus station in his hometown of Macon, Georgia.
Music through time!
In this prezi I will be taking you on a journey of pure music and you will get to see what it was like to have music in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and the 90s. Hold on tight...!
The 70s was basically lods of jazz and disco music and fun. Also Grease the musical movie was out then (or maybe late 70's.) The 1970s proved to be an eventful decade in American history, with the end of the Vietnam War, the Watergate hearings, the rise of feminism and New York City's flirtation with bankruptcy. The music of the era reflected many diverse attitudes and emotions

1980's
This shows old music through time!
Music in the 1980s was one thing more than anything: heavily produced. Everyone knows the classic 80s sound: huge reverby snare drums, lots of delay on the vocals, electronic rhythms and synthesizers

1990s
The 1990s were a beautiful decade of
dim lighting, plaid, and unbathed music.
The musical era of the 1990s was one filled with a variety of pop, rap, and alternative music artists as well as a plethora of one-hit wonders. It was a time when musical taste was as varied as the events that were happening at the time.
Enjoyed!!!!!
