Why?
Signs and Symbols
In everyday life we need signs and symbols to feel comfortable and secure. Without them life would be chaotic and unreliable. Religious symbols are important to those who are continuing their path into God's arms. School Badges are another example of how signs and symbols are portrayed in our lives.
Justification
I have chosen the sample of work relating to Symbols of Everyday Life, as I think it is my best evidence of my understanding of symbols and signs.
Firstly, I think this is a good choice because I had a good understanding of the concepts and was able to construct a valid reason of how they are important to us.
Secondly, this sample demonstrates the way I interpret the meaning of signs and symbols in my life. Another reason for this sample being included in my portfolio is signs and symbols are important and need to be recognized more. For all of these reasons, one can see that i have chosen a sample of work which demonstrates my developing understanding of this topic.
