How to Review this Draft
Start with a summary that states what the paper is doing and what the main ideas are
Are any connections or ideas missing?
What are the overall strengths of this draft?
Does the draft follow the guidelines of the prompt?
Thesis and purpose. Paraphrase the thesis as a promise: In this project, the writer will. . . . Does the draft fulfill that promise? Why, or why not? Does it carry out the writer’s purposes?
Where does the writer stand?
Are the ideas presented in a way that will be easy for the audience to follow?
Are any sentences weak or confusing?
Are there transitions from one paragraph to the next? What about Topic Sentences?
