Behavioral Adaptations are an action or a process of actions they do to help them survive and thrive.
There are multiple effects that the grizzly has on the carbon cycle . They are:
Some of the Behavioral adaptations the Grizzly bear have include hibernating in the winter and before hibernation they become a lot more aggressive to get enough food before hibernation. They also have a large hump of muscles on their back and large front paws with large claws, both of which are to help with digging. They also have a fantastic nervous system, though they cannot see very well they are able to remember where a food source is located.
Grizzlies are often found in riparian areas of woodlands, forests, alpine meadows and prairies in Canada, Alaska and northwest states. The temperature ranges from -75 degrees Fahrenheit to above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The precipitation has a large range from 10 inches to 12 feet!
Humans have a large impact on the grizzly gear population. Grizzlies ARE an endangered species. And one of the problems the human race has forced upon these grizzlies, is near extinction. Grizzlies are hunted for their meat, pelt and strong fibers in their bone. There are laws placed on this subject restricting the amount one can kill, but these laws need to be enforced more efficiently and profoundly. Another human impact is the logging that is going on. So much of the forests that grizzlies live in are being cut down. This need to stop, and a way to do so is to enforce laws against logging in areas of the grizzly bear or any endangered species.
Grizzly Bears or the Ursus arctos horribilis, got its name for its grizzled, metallic looking fur. It is often described as a man eating monster, though it is only aggressive when provoked, fighting for a mate or a foreign being approaches their young. It also will play "Fight" with their cubs. It's appearance is still quite intimidating. With it's 5-8 feet and 300-1,500 lbs stature, it is one large mammal!
The powerful Grizzly bear is a top-of-the-food-chain predator. Though it's status is at the top of the food chain, it is mainly a plant, berry and nut eater, but it still will eat the meat of rodents, moose, salmon, other fish, and insects.
Grizzly bears have more parasitic relationships than any other symbiotic relationship. One of these parasitic relationships is with Mosquitoes. But this kind of parasitism is in two forms. One of them is the parasite enters the mosquito using it as a host. The next one comes when the mosquito goes to suck on the grizzly bears blood, affecting the grizzly's health. Other parasitic relationships include ticks, leeches, fleas, and any parasite that attached to their prey.
The grizzly bear's main predator is humans (I will talk about that later). Other predators include mountain lions and wolves.
