What makes a good micro teach?

In previous sessions we have identified what makes a good role model, what makes a good teacher, how to create a good assessment etc.

Identify at least 10 aspects of a good micro teach.

In small groups you will design a 15 minute micro teach. You will be given a topic and you must decide as a group how you would teach the topic in 15 minutes.

On flipchart paper identify the following:

What you will teach and how

Assessment

Review session

Stretch and Challenge

Explain why each aspect is important in regards to the teaching and learning experience.

Using the evaluation form, identify positives, areas for improvement and something you could use in your own micro teach.

You must:

Create a detailed lesson plan
