Brief History

The White Rose was a Nonviolent organization of students and teachers at Munich University the name White Rose came from a spanish novel 'Rosa Blanco' the White rose was influenced by the German youth group

because the Resistance was Nonviolent they

needed a way to let the people of Germany know that Hitler and his terror was wrong

in the summer of 1942, the first 4 of the 6 leaftlets were written by Alex Schmorell and Hans Scholl

not exceeding 100 copies they passed them out in Germany out of the 100, 35 were turned over to the authorities. the leaflets described how the group felt about Hitler and how if 'they' as people came together they could overthrow Hitler, and how they are more slaves than a united country.
