Sedition Act (1918)
This league focused on helping out the unstable African Americans, who were in desperate need of financial support. After the slaves were free, few had stable jobs, and they were struggling to feed their families and provide a home. This is where the National Urban League stepped in and supported them with financial help.

This amendment gave the citizens to vote directly for their Senators. Before this amendments other politicians would pick the senators, but this led to a chain of corruption, ending with handing over that power to the people.

This association's goal was to help develop economic, moral, religious, and social welfare for women, and children, who were making a very low income.
This was a interesting amendment that was later taken out of the Constitution that stated, that no one could drink alcohol. Alcohol was banned, no one could buy it, or drink it.
This association arose from the Niagara Movement and its goal was to fight for racial equality through the court system. Most blacks were not treated fairly in court since most of the judges were white, and would side with the white defendant over the black, even if they were clearly wrong about the case.
The triangle shirtwaist factory had a major fire that cost the lives of 150 women. This accident, however, caused the regulations of codes in the buildings, causing safer working environments.
