World War II

• All political parties in Germany agreed in condemning the Treaty of Versailles.
• Triumph of the fascism in Italy.
• Military and naval force of Japan.

Hitler wished the war, but not the way it exploded, and did not want to face with some of the enemies that had to...

Japan would have prefered to achieve its goals -mainly the creation of an oriental Empire- without having to participate in a "general war", in wich did not enter till USA did it...

• Japan avoided to intervene in the France and England against Germany war til 1940, and against Russia till 1941. They had fought against the red army in 1939...

• Unfortunately for Japan, they would have to face to only one power nation: USA

War started in 1939 as an exclusively european conflict... After the invasion of Poland (defeated in only 3 weeks) by Germany. England and France rose against it...

In the spring of 1940 Germany had easily defeated:

Norway

Denmark

The Netherlands

Belgium

France (was divided)

Only England was left...

In that moment in England were established all the national forces against Germany, commanded by Winston Churchill. The goal:

RADICAL NEGATION OF ANY AGREEMENT WITH HITLER!!

• Even if Germany couldn't cross to England. There was no possible option for British to invade Germany in 1940-41 when it was lonely in the fight.

• The US rearmament program, "hemispheric defense" in June 1940 assumed that keep sending weapons to England had no sense. It was considered a defensive base of the USA...

• It is so important to consider the void in southeast of Asia that german victories in Europe left...

• It was used by Japan to establish a protectorate in several parts of the french Indochina...

MISTERY:

Why did Hitler declare war to USA leaving to Roosevelt government the possibility of going to war beside the british without facing an inner political opposition?

USA concentrated on the war against the nazi Germany.

• German resistance was tough till the end.
• Allies aerial bombardments were useless.

Hitler's decision of declaring war to USA and Russia decided the fate of War...

• War re-started on June 22th 1941 when Hitler declared war to Russia...

• It was "Hitler's logic" to do that.

• Stalin had to stop the purges and free some of the best military bosses from the "gulags"

...And then Italy left neutrality to

be in the german side.

But! More than 3 months of war... Germany in spite of the triumphs did not produce as much cars and airplanes as England and Russia, and much less than USA.

After the battle of Stalingrado (summer 1942- march 1943) won by Russia... it was a matter of time.

If it is asked who or what caused the WW II, it can be responsed in the stongest terms: Adolf Hitler.

Nations Society denied to act against those three countries...

Immediate causes for War:

Japanese invasion to Manchuria (1931).

Italian invasion to Ethiopia (1935).

German invasion to Austria and mutilation of Zcechoslovakia (1938).

USA was not going to do the same with Japan that european powers left happen with Germany...

Japan could have avoided the war against USA if it had stopped its yearning of getting a powerful economic empire... but was the core of its politics!

• That was intolerable to USA.
• That conflict sparked the war between both countries.
• Japanese attack to Pearl Harbor (December 7th 1941) gave to the conflict a world dimension...

Japan tryed to establish an oriental Empire

Japanese determination to fight till the end was even more unbreakable, that's why nuclear weapons were used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki to get a fast surrender. Victory in 1945 was total and the surrender "inconditional".
