The Battle of Britain ended on the 31 October 1941.
There was lots of deaths and sadness within the Battle of Britain but in the end the Germans lost most of there soldiers and they also lost there leader Hitler. In the end German gave up so the English had a very good victory but lots of sadness and devastation was spread over the country.
It started by the Germans wanting to take over lots of different places including Great Britain. At that point in time Hitler was ruling Germany so you can't expect to much. He wanted to bob England with planes and try to scar us but he didn't realize that we had plain radars so we could spot/see when we were going to get invaded. Winston Churchill excepted the Germans trying to start war with us because he knew that we could defeat the Germans and so Hitler didn't come anywhere close to invading any more innocent countries.

The blitz was a very tragic event that occurred near the end of the Battle of Britain. The heavy and frequent bombing attacks on London and other cities was known as the Blitz. Night after night, from September 1940 until May 1941, German bombers attacked British cities, ports and industrial areas.London was bombed ever day and night, for 11 weeks. One third of London was destroyed.
The Battle of Britain was a very tragic event which caused over a million deaths. That's why on the 11 minute of the 11 hour of the 11 day we remember.
