week 13-14

I completed filming my main task, however I realized the story line was not flowing properly, therefore I decided to make necessary changes to the story board to make the storyline more interesting.

I decided to use different camera angles as some camera angles were not working well together and were not fitting in with the scenes.

Due to improving the story line and adding a wider range of camera angles, I had to film the movie again with my group member, therefore I had to arrange 2 suitable days for me and my group member to film.

Filming the main task took 2 days to get it to a high standard and to have a wide range of clips and scenes that would a selection of variety when it comes to editing.

I Designed and personalized my blog, corrected some posts and then i published a few of my posts.

I have done some more research on thriller movies, looked at the opening of tormented 2009 a modern british thriller movie by the BBC. took some notes on what makes the opening effective.

I have started to create my blog, and post my research on there.

I had a look at some more opening thriller movies, like the famous 'Strangers on a Train' by Alfred Hitchcock, a well known thriller movie maker, to get some ideas about effective openings of thriller movies.

Added sound to my preliminary task, and then had an overview of my finished product. When I was satisfied with it I saved it.

I started to plan a story line for my main task considering the research I did and what would interest the target audience.

I arranged a day to film that was suitable for me and my group member.

I started to plan a story board for my preliminary task. when happy with my story board I scanned it and then blogged it on blogger.

I have started to edit the main task and develop it, to make it reach a high and professional standard.

I Thought of a name for the thriller 'The Return' best matched our story line. The age rating for 'The Return' is

i have started to research into different thriller movies. i have analyzed the opening of Taxi Driver, and i have looked at Abduction the trailer it is a hybrid mix of action/thriller.

I have answered the questions for the evaluation and have uploaded it to my blog.

I am making final touches to my blog.

I have had a look at some short movie clips to identify the ways they have been edited. I have then applied some of the editing skills I identifies from professional movies on my own movie clip.

I started filming my preliminary task, included more camera angles made some changes to story board while filming to make my preliminary task make sense.

I had a look at how to use final cut. explored the software.

I started to look at the clips that I had filmed. started editing on final cut pro. tried using new and different effects and I learned different shortcuts on final cut pro, to speed up the process of editing and also make my clip look good and professional.

I have started to work on answering the questions for the evaluation

I have also tried to see the resemblance between my movie and other successful thriller movies. I found a few movies that resemble with mine here are two examples

I Started to ask and film members of the public about what they thought about my Main Task.

I Edited the reviews gathered by the members of public to use it as evidence for our evaluation.
