You can feel the vibrations on your throat when you hum a tune.

• Some sounds are soft and some are loud.

• Some sounds are high and some are low.

Volume is the loudness or softness of a sound.

Pitch is how high or low a sound is.

• Objects that vibrate slowly have a low pitch.
