this started occuring and started a tarrif a

about it

Nullification is the rights of states to declare

a forced law illegal. Southern anger over the tarrif

over dumping continued to build. The Union seemed

on the verge of splitting apart. In 1832 Congress passed a new, lower tariff, hoping the protests in the

south would die down. It did not.

Protective Tariff is the tariff against Dumping. It make's it so there is a tax on any item you purchase from a diffrent country. Say America made a yoyo and France made a yoyo. The one from America is $1.65 and the one from France is $1.35...you're gonna buy the cheaper one right? Well Protective Tax makes it so more money is added to the cheaper price, making it more expensive so more people will buy it.

ANDREW JACKSON: TARIFFS AND THE B.U.S

The spoil system is the system where Jackson took

away the jobs from the people in the white house

and gave them to his friends and supporters. Andrew

Jackson fired many of his goverment employees and

hired his loyal supports and friends. The members that were fired protested. They said Jackson was acting like a tyrant, hiring and firing people at will. Jackson responded with a new set of federal employees would be good for democracy.
