Whether it be helping me rebound from health issues, or offering me companionship during difficult times, my friends have helped me keep a positive mind frame throughout my life.

Coming from a family of teachers, i learned what things make up a great teacher. I learned how teachers should lead by example. and that sculpted my current teaching style.
My family made me the strong person I am today. We were very close knit and had a sense of responsibility towards each other. I have 5 brothers, and being the third oldest and only girl, I learned how to parent my younger siblings. Being independent and strong was something that came naturally growing up in these circumstances
My parents raised us with very high expectations, and a hard work ethic was a instilled in me at a young age. Me and my siblings were pushed to achieve academic excellence.
There are many factors that make me who I am, and I chose to highlight these (3) specifically which I believe are the most significant:
Religion
Growing up around Egyptian Arabic heavily dictated my accent, and learning the language from a young age made it easier to learn other languages due to its complexity.
Being Muslim has heavily shaped how I approach daily life and how I interact with the world and others. A big part of Islam is having strong moral boundaries, determination, and responsiveness. Islam impacts my wardrobe, my attitude, my goals, and my values. Being Muslim gives me purpose and allows me to maneuver through life.
Egyptian
Growing up Egyptian gave me a rich cultural background. Egyptians tend to live in big families, and growing up around many other families made me appreciate family relationships and understand their value. Being Egyptian also comes with having a strong sense of loyalty to the country, and that sense of loyalty helps join fellow Egyptians together. Also, being from Egypt, people always ask me about Egyptian history, and it has been a core topic of discussion whenever I meet new individuals.
