Background of Gunpowder
Was invented around A.D 850
Was discovered by accident
They were trying to create an elixir for immortality but ironically made a deadly explosive powder
They found it was very deadly when a scientist was smoking near the gunpowder and it caught on fire and blew up the factory
Gunpowder is made up of 75% Potassium Nitrate, 15% Charcoal and 10% Sulfur
At that point in time they discovered they could use it for many different things like flaming arrows and starting fires
- A few years later they realized they could put gunpowder in different types of guns and bombs
