Jihad

Jihad root meaning is struggle. Now Jihad is used to describe the war between Muslims and all non-muslim people. The war's soul purpose is to try to get the "non-believers" to convert to Islam on the pain of death, meaning convert or else blood will be shed

Pop Culture Example

American Jihadist is a movie about an american Jihadist's look at a militant Islam through the eyes of an american who fought for their religion. The whole movie is trying to get to the core meaning of why someone would want to fight, be killed, or to kill someone for their religion. This is an example in pop culture because this is still an issue today.

Topic 6

An Allusion for Jihad

Yawning a big long yawn, I felt a sense of relief that I finished my big, odious lab report that practically took me all night to finally finish. I turned it in right at the beginning of class feeling fairly accomplished. My extremely tough chemistry teacher then starts grading the classes three foot high stack of lab reports. She was nearly half way done when she called my name. "Here you go Dana." She says handing me my deftly done report with a big fat 69 written on it. I could feel all the blood rushing to my head. There was going to be a Jihad if she didn't let me try again to get a passing grade.
