Tradition is cool…

It’s about dynamism,

re-creativity and

performativity.

Let's call it traditionALIZATION!

Traditionalization,

Not Immune to Ideological Discourses.

AFS Presidential Address

Traditionalization operates based upon its active agents' framing narratives or their subjectively constructed knowledge of the past.

Traditionalization should be considered a discursive process that addresses interventions of ideological discourses in processes of traditionalization and the ways in which they produce power-knowledge.

Active agents of traditionalization not only frame the past and make passive agents view the past through their frames, but demand the passive agents to internalize the frames and responsibly act upon them.

Traditionalization, like discursive tradition, endows its agents with power
