Christopher is a 12 year old
boy living on Perses with his family.
He is one of the colonists on Perses. He eventually becomes the leader of the last remaining colonists.
History of Perses and Melming Mining
Perses is a celestial body that was originally a danger but Mr. Melming took control of the planet and managed to remove the danger. Scientists soon discovered that Perses was rich with resources that Earth was running out of. Mr. Melming founded Melming Mining and sent colonists up to Perses to colonize Perses by terraforming or making a habitat like the Earth and to extract these resources the Earth needed. He called this operation the Great mission.
Plot
Perses is getting ready to ship their ores back to Earth but they must after the communications blackout which will last for one month and cut communications with Earth. When the blackout begins, Perses and it's colonists are attacked by the "Landers" and the adults distract the Landers until the younger kids can go underground. Christopher is tasked on leading the group of kids and help them survive until the blackout is over so he can send out a distress signal, but over time he wonders, can he complete the challenge before him?
