Gilo River

The Gilo River is a stream that flows through the region of Gambela, Ethiopia.

REMEMBER THAT NOW!!!!!

Massacre

  • Lost Boys of Sudan went to Ethiopia for safety from country.
  • Ethiopian Government had war because of it, so they chased the boys into the Gilo River.
  • Guns shot, Dead people everywhere, crocodiles being famished, it was a horrible scene.
  • A thousand men out of hundreds of thousands survived.

  • Gold found here!!!!!!!!!
  • It is 285 meters above sea level
  • Gilo River in Ethiopia
  • Goes through Gambella
  • Plants and animals live there
  • Is connected to the Nile River

Because of its location, it has many names. They are: Gila, Ghilo, Gilo Wenz, Ghelo, Ghila, Jila, and Jilā.
