A World Without Water

Earth - Dihydrogen oxide = No life

Thank goodness there are still a couple billion years until we run out of water!

THANK YOU!

Thank you!

Life: Health, The Foodchain

Health: Why do we need to drink water?

  • Water keeps us physically healthy, and alive.
  • Dehydration causes death.
  • The presence of water in a planet identifies life.

The Food chain

A lack of water would disbalance the the Trophic levels as the first level is producers, and plants need water grow.

Nature: Climate, Landforms, Universal solvent

Climate

Without water, the water near the equator would be boiling, and global warming would be directly upon us.

  • Oceans distribute solar radiation.
  • The water cycle creates precipitation and stimulates temperature.
  • Without water, due to lack of moisture within the atmosphere, forests would be

engulfed in fire.

Formation of land

The whole world would look geographically the same without water, because there would be no erosion.

Universal Solvent

Since water is the Universal Solvent, if there were less of it, the water remaining would have a higher concentrate of external pollutants.

What does water do for us?

Economy: Hydro Electricity & Agriculture

Water ultimately keeps the planet, and life on it, alive. It sustains life, is Mother Nature's assistant, and plays a huge role in our economy.

Therefore, without water, the Life on Earth would Cease to Exist.

Hydroelectricity

This industry runs on water, and without water, there would be no need for an industry to run it.

Agriculture

  • Roughly 2.6 billion people are directly dependent on agriculture
  • The whole industry revolves around farming, and farming revolves around water
  • Without the industry, there would be no need for farmers, and the job of farmers would be demolished.

Despite how seriously this would affect us, if the world were to seriously be extinct of water, our economy would be the least of our worries.
