Standards
- Course Goals
- Raise awareness of the benefits of technology for k-12 teachers.
- Collaborative environment
- Learning Outcome
- Integrate new technologies into language arts teaching to meet national and state standards to support diverse student learning at early literacy, middle school and high school adolescence developmental levels.
- Throughout this semester we discussed the importance of technology in the classroom.
- Each week were introduced to a different technology that we had assignments or readings on.
- We were often asked to reflect on new literacies in the classroom compared to the old school way.
- I found that introducing new literacies into the classroom can be extremely beneficial to both the students and teachers in many ways.
- This semester we discussed the ELA Common Core Standards and the importance of involving them into our lesson plans.
- We were also introduced to the ISTE Standards which are a set of standards set up for students to thrive technologically in the tech based world that we live in.
