Disadvantages of Social Media

Although most people enjoy spending their time online, becoming so addicted to social media that you spend so much time on it can be a disadvantage; as it has been shown to create "undesirable feelings" such as jealousy and anxiety, and also lowers self confidence. instead of being s addicted to social media, people can generate a lot of their energy in order to create something that would benefit their society.

Even though being addicted to wasting time on the internet can be a difficult thing to stop at once, doing minor things can help you become less addicted. For example; you should start by keeping track of how you spend your time, and closing all the social media sites opened in your web browser to stop getting distracted . you can also put limits on time you spend on social media by scheduling an hour per day or not opening it late at night.

Other than that, there are plenty of replacements to wasting time on social media and can be a lot of fun because you are doing them directly and at the same time it wont cause as much as the disadvantages that social media causes. some of these activities can be the hobbies you enjoy; such as drawing, playing sports, practicing an instrument, or even doing extracurricular activities or helping your community in different ways.

The Effects of Wasting Time on Social Media

Nowadays, social media has become something extremely essential that almost everybody cannot live without as it is the most popular online activity. social networks are being used rapidly and and for plenty of uses, as studies have shown that the online population that reached 2 billion people spend more than 32 online per month. This amount spent isn't always for a good cause as some people confessed that they usually spend their time on the internet for spying on others and different misuses

Other than that, wasting time on the internet rapidly can cause health issues and other problems due to inactivity; as it leads to weight gain, head aches and backaches, tired eyes, and also is the main reason of laziness and a decline in other activities.
