The stage manager plays very important roles in stage production. They work very closely with the director. Some of their jobs include:

In conclusion, we've learned that the roles and responsibilities of being a stage manager are quite strenuous and hard, but this is a very rewarding and important job. You do everything from confirming costuming and props, to telling the actors where they need to be at what time.

We have learned that this job is one of the most important jobs in terms of live theater, and it has proven to be both educational and interesting.

We chose to research the roles and responsibilities of a stage manager. This is because it seemed interesting and educational. We also learned in class that this is one of the most important roles in stage production, so, we knew this would be an interesting topic to research.

Stage Managers can make a lot of money. They aren't even required to have an extensive education! The minimum required education is that the applicant has graduated high school. Most applicants still go to college to get degrees in theatrical production and other theater degrees. The more experience in live theater only increases your chances.The most stage managers make is around $105,000. The least being $45,000.

Famous Canadian Stage Manager

Winston Morgan is one of Canada's most famous stage managers for live theater. He started out as a regular stage manager and then founded 'Stage Managing The Arts.' When he started his career he was making around 35k. By the time he was in his full glory he was making well over 105k.
