Background

Review of Relevant Literature

911 calls can often be a call for help or just a call to inform some sort of authority that someone else needs help. A 911 operator answers calls connecting to both emergency and nonemergency situations. The emergency operator determines the situation and then decides what kind of rescue team you will need, and how many members will be needed at the scene.

I evaluated..

  • The strutcure of 911 calls
  • How 911 operators asses he callers and the misuse of 911 calls
  • Some asses validity of the 911 call itself
  • Determining guilt and innocence through a 911 call

  • Jake Evans, who is responsible for the murder of his mother Jami Evans and his younger sister Mallory Evans in Parker County, Texas. Evans had been planning to kill for more than 2 months. Evans watched Halloween movies three times that week and stole his grandpa's gun in order to make it happen.(Stebner, 2013) He claimed his family members were evolving into people he hated and his sister was racist.(Stebner, 2013)
  • Evans has been charged with one count of capital murder and two counts of murder. ( Lohr, 2013)

Thesis

I study Jake Evans 911 call to the police following the his murder of his mother and younger sister. I will explain how Evans plans the killing and how regretful he is , as well as how the operator’s genuine tone comforts Evans.I will first explain the background of the case in more detail. I will then discuss methodology for the research before analyzing the data.
