Assuming that the house was the highest obstacle, the airplane would have to be 304.1 feet above it. The boys theory has been...
BURNT!
BUSTED
So the house would have to be 72m tall for the toast to hit the airplane.
Since low-flying aircrafts must fly 304.1 metres above the highest obstacle, the toast would not disrupt their flight.
x41.6
If 22x41.6=915
Then 92x41.6=a
And 114x41.6=b
To get accurate results that apply to most houses, I used the average two-story house height for my test. The average house height is 915cm, or 9m 15cm. For the toaster size, I measured my toaster, the toaster was 22cm tall, or 0.22m.
Gathering The Information
In the book "Counting On Frank" the boy says that his toaster pops toast 3 feet into the air. He also states that if his toaster was the same size as his house, it would disrupt low flying aircrafts.
