Why did they Imperialize?
Cecil Rhodes and his British South Africa Company thought there were gold deposits in Southen Rhodesia like there was in South Africa. They went to mine in an attemp to become rich.
How did they imperialize?
Orriginally Rhodes and King Lobengula of the Ndebele created a treaty giving Rhodes the right to mine the minerals found in Southern Rhodesia. However, Rhodes insisted that the reaty gave him rights to the all of Rhodesia.
