The Ingalls family moved to DeSmet, Dakota in September 9, 1879

Laura's older sister Mary became blind after she has the scarlet fever in February of 1879.

Baby Born!

Rose Wilder was born December 5, 1886 in DeSmet, Dakota.

Married!!!!

Almanzo Wilder and Laura Ingalls were married August 25, 1885 in DeSmet, Dakota.

Move to Walnut Grove, Minnesota

Started Writing

In the 1920s she started to write her books to tell all of her memories of her days on the pioneer frontier.

This was one of the moves that inspired her books. There in Walnut Grove she met her rival Nellie Olsen. The Ingalls moved there in the spring of 1874.
