What is the Solution to Depression ?

Relationship between Dimensions

Ethics relation doctrines:

The doctrine of Gokuism tells to live a life like Goku. The ethical dimension gives us guidelines for the right and wrong way to do this.

Rituals create Social Roles:

In most of the rituals, and mentor or teacher is required. This shows how the social role of the teacher in Gokuism came to be.

Rituals create experience:

the rituals we perform help us achieve a state of non depression and the experience of having a child-like nature.

The relation of myth and doctrine and ritual: The myths gives us early accounts of the personality and lifestyle of Goku. The rituals we do are modeled after important activities are moments in Goku’s life (i.e. - When Goku went to Heaven, he needed to meditate in order to restore his Ki). The experience we aim to achieve (childlike, carefree personality) comes directly from the personality of Goku.

Why is Depression Bad?

Brings people

into a negative state

Affects people physically

and emotionally

Depression is different from sadness. It persists while sadness is only a short term feeling.

Landslide Effect: the more depressed one is, the more bad things happen to them.

Our life model

  • Goku is originally from Planet Vegeta
  • He originally came to Earth to Destroy it, but an accident as an infant causes him to lose his memory.
  • He thus grows up pure hearted, becomes Earths greatest protector.
  • Goku is cheerful, persistent, courageous, and childlike.
  • He is understanding to everyone, even his enemies, and he sees the good in each person.

Doctrine: What is Depression?

It's a mood disorder caused by:

  • Persistent feelings of sadness
  • Lost of interest
  • Reaction to loss, life’s struggles, injured self-esteem

Depression is ultimately the result of a lowering of one’s ki, which is a “lifeforce” present in every living being.

Rituals

one has to follow the following practices to be a true Gokuist.

come to be??

Ethics: DO s and Don't s of GOKUISM

Depression can lead to risky behavior and can affect your health.

In order to be a true Gokuist one must follow the following lifestyle:

6) Follow the religious lifestyle – Goku

The Experience of Gokuism

Our model person for our religion is one who is childlike, that is, someone who is simple minded, someone who is always happy, carefree, worry free, and stress free.

Once you follow the lifestyle and practices of Gokuism, one who is a true Gokuist will be content, and have a positive outlook on life.

Our ideal model is that of Goku.
