The Educational System

Chapter 1: Formal Education

The State recognizes that formal education, or the school system is the society's primary learning system and therefore the main instrument for the achievement of the country's educational goals ans objectives.

Formal Education

Formal education shall correspond to the following levels:

1. Elementary Education

-first stage, providing basic education; usually 6-7 grades including PS programs

2. Secondary Education

-continuation/expansion of basic education; learning of employable gainful skills; 4 years

3. Tertiary Education

-leading to a degree in specific profession or disclipline
