Natural resources, such as salmon and cedar, enabled the development of a complex ranking society within coastal communities. With so much food being available, the people of the coastal regions could focus their time on other quests such as art, politics, and warfare.

Governmental Similarities and Differences of British Columbia

Though there are many similarities between the politics of Canada and the politics of the United States, there are also important differences. Many of the differences and similarities have formed the foundation for debates in the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first centuries.

Similarities:

Columbia's Political systems

have a head of state, a court

system, and an upper and

lower house

Differences:

The U.S. Political system has a constitution which lays out the rules for government and the rights of the people, but British Columbia has constitutional provisions documents that just say the same rules.
