How Does The Endocrine System Works?

The endocrine system is the collection of glands that produce hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and moods, among other things.

Things That Go Wrong

Adrenal Glands

When a hormone level reaches a certain amount, the endocrine system helps the body to keep the level of hormone in you're blood.

The body has two triangular adrenal glands, each one are on the top of the kidneys. Each one produces hormones , both with different functions.

To much or to little of any hormones can be harmful to your body. For example, if the pituitary glands produce too much growth hormones, a teen may grow extremely tall. If it produces too little, a teen may be unusually short. Doctors can often treat problems with the endocrine system by contorlling the production of hormones or replacing certain hormones with medication.
