What If?

The Atomic Bomb

  • The B-29 bomber was named the Enola gay.
  • The bombs dropped were named Little Boy and Fat Man.
  • Paul Tibbets piloted the bomber that dropped to two bombs
  • August 6, 1945 a bomber dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
  • Killed 80,000 people instantly

What if the Atomic bomb was never dropped? The first thing that comes to mind is the continuation of the war, we my have not realized the effects of radiation on the human body to later in world history, A generation of two big cities would never have been lost, many more soldiers would have been lost on both sides.

  • Killed more than 40,000

  • Harry Truman was the president residing over the United States at the time.
  • The 4 years of fighting took a toll on the american forces.
  • The war was fought between the Allies and the Axis.
  • The Japanese showed no signs of giving up.
  • The Allies demand for a immediate surrender and stated the refusal would result in total destruction.
