Anne Frank died March 1945 at age 15

In the years 1940-1942 was the German invasion.

The Nazis ordered that Jewish children were not allowed to go to regular schools.

July 16, 1942 was when the Frank family decided to go into hiding. They left immediatly so that Margot didn't have to be deported to a work camp.

On August 4, 1944 everyone was captured and sent to Westerbork transit camp and then to Auschwitz.

Mr. Frank was the only one to survive the camps. The others died of disease and exhaustion.

May 1940, Germany invades the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Registration of the Jews is the first step taken in isolating them. This means that since Otto Frank is a Jew, he is no longer able to own a bussiness.

One day after Hitler's suicide in 1945, the Germans surrendered on May 2, 1945.

(1889-1945) Adolf Hitler was the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party.

In March 1938, as part of Hitler's quest for uniting all German-speaking people and for Lebensraum, Germany took over Austria without bloodshed. The Anschluss occurred with the overwhelming approval of the Austrian people.
