TVET DELIVERY MODES

School-based - formal by the schools of TVET programs (3 years)

Center-based - provision of short duration non-formal training.

Community-based- training programs designed to answer the needs for skills training.

Enterprise-based Programs- training programs like apprenticeship, dual training which are carried out within the firms/industries.

Qualification

refers to a package of competencies describing a particular function or job role existing in economic an economic sector, covering the activities required to undertake a particular job role.

PHILIPPINE EDUCATION SYSTEM

The Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF)

is a national policy which describes the levels of educational qualifications and sets the standards for qualification outcomes.

The education system in the Philippines embraces formal and non-formal education.

The Philippine Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) System

Non-formal education includes education opportunities, even outside school premises, that facilitate achievement of specific learning objectives for particular clienteles.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)

TESDA- is mandated to provide relevant, accessible, high quality and efficient technical education and skills development in support of the development of high quality Filipino middle

level manpower responsive to and in accordance with the Philippine development goals and priorities.

7. Training is based both on and off the job components.

8. Allows for recognition of prior learning (RPL).

9. Training allows for multiple entry and exit.

10. Approved training programs are nationally accredited.

4. Training is based on work that must be performed.

5. Training materials are directly related to the competency standards and the curriculum modules.

6. Assessment is based in the collection of evidence of the performance of work to the industry required standard.

PRINCIPLES IN THE CBT DELIVERY SYSTEM.

2. Learning is modular in its structure.

3. Training delivery is individualized and self-paced
