The Seven Sacraments

By:Gabrielle Cantos

Confirmation

Anointing of the sick

Baptism

Holy Orders

This is the last sacrament, anointing of the sick. Anointing of the sick are the last right, which means you would be blessed or get washed away your sins by oil when you are ill. This also means that you get washed away of your sins before entering heaven. The ill would usually get blessed with holy oil by a priest.

Holy orders is the social status of the christian church. Like the priests, Bishops, or deacon. there are many social statuses, well in everything. When you take your place in the social status, you take on all of the responsibilities.

Marriage

Confirmation means to be confirmed in the religious community. After you get baptized, you get accepted and to finish all of the seven sacraments. The next step for the seven sacraments is reconciliation.

Baptism used to and still known for washing away your sins. A long time ago people would go in the river called " " to wash away the sins and start a new life. A while ago and some churches still do this, you would go in a tub and get held under water by a priest. Today in my Catholic church we dip a baby's over a little fountain and get holy water poured over them. It is a welcome in the Catholic church community.

The nest sacrament is marriage which is also next for me. Marriage is finding someone who excepts you for who you are. Marriage is finding someone you love and also accepts god. Marriage is finding someone you would love to spend the rest of your life with and stay by your side until you leave to the Christ.

Reconciliation

Eucharist

Reconciliation is the nest step in the seven sacraments. In my perspective reconciliation is the welcoming in christian faith. Its like having a new family and friends. to be reconciled is like being welcomed with open arms to another family. You have the priest to confess your sins and a family/community that excepts you for who you are.

This is the second step of the sacraments. You get the Eucharist, which represents god. The wine is a representation of the blood of Christ. You also get the bread, which represents the body of the Christ given up for our sins. You get confirmed by receiving the Eucharist.
