The fall of the Roman Empire

The Roman Empire fell in 476 A.d. Many people blame the iniation of Christianity for the decline. Christianity made many Roman citizens into pacifists, making it more difficult for the Roman citizens to defend themselves from attackers.

charlemagne becomes king of the Franks

Charlemagne was king of the Franks in 768 a.d. Which is when he ruled with his brother. His brother died in 771, and Charlemagne became the sole ruler of the Franks.

charlemagne is crowned Roman Empire

Charlemagne is crowned Roman Emperor in 800 a.d. Charlemagne was also crowned on christmas day. He served the last 14 years of this life as the Roman Emperor.

The rise of fuedalism was from 850-1000 a.d. fuedalism was the primary political system of the middle ages. Under the fuedal system, everyone but the king had a ruling lord above him to which he owed loyalty and service in exchange for land and protectioms.

King Henry split with the Catholic Church in 1534 a.d. Thr split occured because he had a desire to divorce and remarry. He wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon, because she had not yet gave him a son, and he was anxious to have one.

on Halloween in 1517 a.d. Martin Luther declared his intolerence for the Roman Church's corruption by nailing 95 Theses of Contention to the Wittenburg Church doors.

Edward vI became king in 1547 a.d. Edward was England's first ruler who was Protestant at the time of his ascension to the throne. Edward's entire rule was mediated through a council of regency, as he never reached majority.

Leonardo Da Vinci creates the Mona Lisa.

Johannes Gutnerburg invented the printing press in the 1450s. The printing press was considered the most important invention in modern times. Without the printing press we would not have had the Scientific Revolution or Reniassance.

It tHistorians agree that Leonardo commenced the painting of Mona Lisa in 1503, working on it for approximately four years and keeping it himself for some years after. Supposedly this was because Mona Lisa was Leonardo's favourite painting and he was loathe to part with it,ook Leonardo Da Vinci from 1503-1507 a.d. to create the Mona Lisa.
