Typing Technique

Finger Placement

Having the correct finger placement and using the correct fingers for each key is important. Not only will you be able to type faster but you will also cut down on the number of mistakes you make.

Correct Typing Technique

Steady Rhythm

Tap Don't Stab

Tapping the keys and not stabbing them is important. Not only will it help you type faster but it will also increase the life time of the keyboard and keep your fingers from hurting.

Keeping a steady rhythm while you type will help you type faster. Even if you feel like you are typing slow but don't have any pauses then you will increase your typing speed. Once you can type slower without any pauses then you can work on getting faster with ease.

Having a correct typing technique is important for many different reasons. Having a correct typing technique can do more than just help you type faster. It can also help you avoid a painful surgery and months of recovery.

Eyes on the Screen

Keep Your Wrists Straight

Training your brain to trust your fingers is kind of hard. When you keep your eyes off your fingers and on the screen, your typing speed will slowly increase. At first you may make more mistakes but the more you practice the faster you will get with fewer mistakes.

Sitting up straight with your wrists straight will help you from getting cramps in your hands and wrists. It will also help to save you from developing carpal tunnel syndrome. If you develop carpal tunnel then you have to have an expensive and painful surgery followed by months of recovery.
