- They want to be the stereotypical look; skinny, nice hair and pretty eyes.
- They want to be what others consider perfect.
- They will change their hair, buy new clothes and shoes, or even lose weight to the point of anorexia just to fit in and look like their idol.

- Celebrities acting out and being stupid is something that has been going o forever.

Conclusion
The Mindset that looking a certain way and acting a certain is how to become cool is horrible. The only way to keep teenagers from this is to limit their time on a computer or watching television. The less they are exposed to celebrities doing stupid things and changing their looks the less someone that impressionable will be influenced.
Introduction
Today, anything a celebrity does or says is on the internet, on TV, or it can be seen in magazines. "Teenagers are the most common people to try and copy celebrities." (qtd. in Guana) They think of them as "idols"; therefore, everything they do is cool or something they need to try. That is why I think celebrities have a negative influence on teenagers and our society in general; from wanting to change our appearance to look like them to changing our behavior and doing drugs and drinking alcohol to be like them.
Behavior
- Teenagers are impressionable so they will do more than try to look ike stars.
- They will try drugs because someone they look up to was doing it in a picture.
- Even if it is a one-time thing, that one time can lead to them dying from alcohol poisoning or driving drunk.
- It can also lead to being arrested for being caught with illegal substances, like marijuana in some states or heroine.
- All this trouble because Lindsay Lohan was their favorite actress.
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan went from starring in many young girls favorite movie, “Mean Girls” and playing the innocent little girl in the family oriented movie “Parent Trap” to getting in trouble because of her drug use and her out of control behavior. She went from being this well known actress any girl could look up to because of her success plus the fact that we just like her movies; to someone no girl should want to be like. So kids who were looking up to her are now seeing her act out. She probably doesn’t even realize how many lives she is affecting besides her own. She is just one of many celebrities that can have affect on young people.
