Scenario

Imagine than you have been successful in your application and you will have your first team meeting, where you have the chance to discuss with your team and present yourself.

Some of the mandatory expectation from your manager regarding the topics of the meeting are below:

  • You have to present yourself (what you will bring on the table).
  • Your views, visions and expectations.
  • Next 3 months plan.
  • Since the company is constantly growing and we are in a transition period, it is best that the team is kept motivated.

  • The team leader is the motivator of the team and this is achieved by looking beyond the common goal to individual efforts.

  • I think that work seems easy when people are motivated and communication is the driving force.
  • I will encourage a collaborative spirit - help team members to understand their goals.

  • I will help organize an action plan to ensure team members meet their goals and objectives more efficiently.

  • I aim to identify the elements that affect work quality and productivity.

  • Monitor the calls and email to ensure that due procedures and quality standards are strictly adhered to our SLA

- Help team member pass their probation and if needed, I will delegate colleagues to assist them in their day-to-day tasks

- Make sure every team member is aware of the procedures and try to motivate them to slowly start working with less supervision

- Set objectives for team and individual for every team member (Example attached)

Selling (S2): This style involves more back-and-forth between leaders and followers

  • Telling: In this leadership style, the leader tells people what to do and how to do it. (S1)

- Identify the team's development needs by monitoring their scorecards and overall productivity

- Build relationships both internally with other departments

- Achieve or exceed the target for 1st time resolution (as recorded on their monthly scorecard)
