How does Convection Affect the Water Cycle

Convection can affect the water cycle because convection causes thunderstorms. When thunderstorms occur rain pours down meaning step 3 in the water cycle (precipitation) occurs.

Convective Clouds

Convective clouds are clouds formed by vertical motions that are the outcome of the instability of the atmosphere. The uncertainty of the atmosphere can be caused by cooling of the top of an air layer.

How Convection and the Water Cycle are Interconnected

What is Convection? How does it affect the water cycle?

The water cycle is connected to convection because they both deal with rising air/water molecules and clouds. The water cycle deals with the evaporation of water. Convection deals with heat rising and mixing with moisture from the clouds.

What can convection cause

Convection can cause thunderstorms. Thunderstorms occur when warm air rises rapidly and moisture from clouds and rain mix. Thunderstorms causes a bright flash of electricity called lightning.

Convection

Convection is motions in a fluid that convey and combine the properties of the fluid. The properties of the fluid could be moisture and/or heat.
