The worshiping of Krishna is called Holi. This is one of the most important festivals in India. It is usually in February or March. It is usually a three day event. The men sing and dance in the streets and women and men pour red powder on each other along with colored water.
Krishna- is a deity, he is considered the supreme being. In pictures and paintings, he is usually a little boy or baby playing a flute.
Vishnu is one of the most important Hindu gods. Vishnu translates to "the all pervasive one." This single god appears in paintings of other gods and goddesses. No one can quite number the exact amount of people that worship Vaishnava because the traditions don't have to be in reference with any of them.
There is no genuine book or doctrine that you have to believe in to be a Hindu. However, there is a Veda that most schools or communities teach from. Hindus have epic tails that are told and are played out with music along with other elements.
There are many gods, but some claim that they are all related to one figure and supreme being.

Divali is another holiday. It is celebrated in the Autumn in October or November. It means "cluster of lights." Houses have many oil lamps in them and almost no electricity is used. It is the beginning of the year in some parts of India. They also send treats and gifts to family and friends.
