Shays rebellion

• most power was given to the states
• federal govt weak, decisions made by states
• states often disagreed, making the decision making process extremely long
• proved to be a big part in the says rebellion, states couldn't decide on what to do, went on for longer then it was supposed to
• shays rebellion demonstrated how unorganized it was
• formed to be a complete opposite of England, ppl were fed up of someone making decisions for them

• Daniel shay and other farmers were upset over the taxes, were too poor to pay them
• govt seized their land as retribution
• farmers were pissed, couldnt pay off the debt, and they couldnt grow stuff to eat or sell, starved and got further into debt
• made at govt, rebelled
• put down kinda slowly
