Real World Connections

This shows the reality of life. women are constantly put down, not only from the patriarchal age, but today's society as well. We aren't allow to wear what we please without getting a negative comment from a male, it unladylike to curse, and not to mention body image bashing. We can't wear skirts, crop tops, or shorts without being shamed by not only men but women as well.

Real World Connection

Today's society just shows us that much hasn't changed from the patriarchy society. Men are still given more opportunities then us, men still "hold more weigh". Even Nicki Minaj says in the music industry there is sexism.

My Vagina Was My Village - A woman who used to love her vagina before she gotten rape by multiple men. The narrator no longer loves her vagina anymore, and loses confidence

a woman who is dealing with postpartum depression as well as living with a demanding husband. Her husband is a physician and diagnosed her as having a nervous depression. He believes that moving into a new home will benefit his wife and potentially cure her. After sometime she starts to see things in the wallpaper that set off a weird reactions in her, but her husband won’t listen. She later lets the wallpaper take over her sanity
