One Resolution

When duke is in the training he can come home with his trainer to hobies to visit every month or so. This way hobie and duke can still See each other.

Hobie is dukes owner and the main charecter

Theme

The theme of this story is "If you love something so much do not give it away".

In duke, Hobie is the main character and his best friend is a dog named Duke. Hobie and Duke do everything together and they do not leave each others side. After hobie learns that his dad is in war and the military needs dogs Hobie gives Duke to the Dog s for defense and will be trained to help in war. After learning that he will be trained to go into war hobie will try to do anything he can to get him back.

One Conflict

Setting Where and When

This takes place at the start and during WWI. The setting is in the united states at hobies house.

One conflict in this story is hobie gives away duke then later realizes it was a bad choice and wants him back. The problem with this is that he cannot get duke back but he will still try everything to his his best friend back.
