The brain is the location of three parts of the endocrine system, the most parts in one area of the body. the pineal gland creates melatonin. Melatonin is a serotonin which controls sleep patterns.

Adrenal Glands

Ever had the feeling of such power that you could do anything in stressful conditions, or felt stronger when preparing for acts of exertion? That's because your adrenal glands are producing adrenaline, a fast acting steroid-like hormone that at times can create incredible performances of strength.

The Endocrine System

Thymus Gland

The thymus gland is primary for the immune system, creating all T cells. T cells are designed to help the body adapt to foreign invaders.

Pancreas

Not only does the pancreas secrete pancreatic juice, it also produces multiple hormones that circulate blood like insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin.

Testis and Ovaries

They're weird, they're awkward, they're no one's favorite body parts. The Testis produce the body's male reproductive cells called sperm and Ovaries produce female reproductive cells called ova or eggs. That's all that needs to be said about them.

Thyroid Gland

The thyroid gland is found at the neck right below the adam's apple. It produces thyroid hormones, which control appetite, digestion, growth rate,

and rate and strength

of a heartbeat.

Hypothalamus and Pituitary Glands

The hypothalamus gland is the home of many small nuclei chiefly controlling parts of the nervous system. The pituitary gland is similar in appearance to the pineal gland but is often called the master gland for controlling most of the other glands of a body.
